As Vice President, Human Resources, Mike Troy directs all of the company's strategic human resources programs. In this role, his responsibilities include the employee relations, training and development, human resources services, rewards and recognition, benefits administration, corporate communications and community relations functions. In addition, he serves on the Siemens Energy & Automation Executive Committee.
Mr. Troy began his career in 1972 with Scovill Manufacturing Company as a Labor Relations Coordinator. In 1974, he joined Harvey Hubbel, Inc. as a Compensation and Benefits Administrator and was named Corporate Benefits Administrator in 1975.
In 1976, Mr. Troy joined GTE Corporation as a Senior Employee Relations Representative. From 1979 to 1983, he served as Personnel Manager and Division Human Resources Manager for several GTE divisions.
He began working for Challenger Electrical Equipment Corporation in 1983 as Director, Human Resources. In 1985, Mr. Troy became Vice President, Human Resources and Administration and had total responsibility for the company's Human Resources function. He also had administrative responsibility for environmental affairs, real estate, property and casualty insurance, and pensions.
In 1995, Mr. Troy joined Siemens Energy & Automation as Vice President, Human Resources.
He graduated cum laude from Providence College. Mr. Troy is active in the National Electrical Manufacturers Association, where he serves as the Chairperson of the Human Resources Committee and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of INROADS/Atlanta and is the Chairperson of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce International Relations Committee.
