In 1931
Carl Furnas, after twenty-one years with
the company, left the Allis-Chalmers Co., at West
Allis, Wisconsin to start his own company - The
Furnas Electric Company. Working in his basement with his wife, their
daughter and two or three assistants, he grew to be
one of the nation's outstanding producers of
electric motor controls. The company was
merged with a German company and became known as the
Siemens-Furnas Controls.
Since this time, Siemens has integrated the Furnas
line into its extensive realm of control products.
Our customers include some of the world's largest
and most respected companies in the industrial
manufacturing and construction industries.
Our technologies range from circuit protection and
energy management systems to process control,
industrial software and totally integrated
automation solutions. The company also has
expertise in systems integration, technical
services and turnkey industrial systems.
