Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP)
The Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) is designed for high potential candidates who want to be an integral part of helping Siemens Industry succeed in defining and delivering world class manufacturing processes, products, and services. All of the assignments offer the participant exposure to the promotion and application of business strategy for process improvement within all aspects of operations.
All rotations will support the Industry Automation Division (IA), the Drive Technologies Division (DT) or the Building Technologies Low Voltage Business Unit (BT LV) of Siemens Industry.
Industry Automation has technologies ranging from circuit protection and energy management systems to controls, industrial software and totally integrated power solutions.
Drive Technologies consolidates the activities of Above NEMA Motors and NEMA motors as well as Medium and Low Voltage Drives addressing the customer’s need for horsepower, speed, torque control, and intelligence.
Building Technologies Low Voltage is responsible for the residential products and markets, the Murray brand, and SE&A’s retail channel execution.
This extensive two-year rotational program consists of 4 six-month rotations throughout key areas of Operations. OLDP is for graduate seeking opportunities to impact both the Operational and Supply Chain functions including procurement, manufacturing, and distribution using LEAN and Six Sigma process improvements. Participants of the program will choose a track to focus on during their 4 rotations - either Manufacturing, or Supply Chain.
Rotation Information
Materials Management - rotation would provide experience in inventory accuracy, cycle counts, process documentation and controls, shipping and receiving.
Supervision of a Production Process - activities include supervision of a manufacturing line and day to day responsibilities for production
Distribution - Manage shipping and receiving schedules and respond to questions regarding supply chain management; improve processes for inventory and facility management and negotiate contracts with vendors.
Process Improvement - take the lead on implementing the LEAN model to improve manufacturing processes.
Possible Rotation Locations - including but not limited to Atlanta, GA; Columbus, OH; Norwood, OH; New Kensington, PA; Spartanburg, SC; Juarez, Mexico; Grand Prairie/Dallas, TX; El Paso, TX; West Chicago, IL
