| Another success for process automation systems and the Food & Beverage VMM!Siemens
will implement the BRAUMAT PCS 7 platform at Spoetzl. Spoetzl came to Siemens requesting “we need a new brewing system without
constraints” and Siemens answered with a new brewery-wide control system. The hardware and software will be integrated and configured
by the Industrial Automation (Automation Systems DLS) team in Houston, TX. Delivery will occur in a couple of stages in 2012 to support
brewery expansions that will start in the fermentation area helping to improve filtration, and eventually help Spoetzl expand their
brewhouse. We won because of the 15 year relationship that our distributor, AWC has with the Shiner brewery. AWC support
of the Texas Instrument system also helped gain them a “trusted advisor” status over the years. We were able to use a
Frontal, Reputation Strategy leveraging the success of Siemens BRAUMAT in the industry and our ability to deploy it locally and fast for their expansion(s). Congratulations to all of those involved in the success of this campaign: Ed Montgomery, Javier Villegas,
Kilian Hofmann, Bethann Williamson and our partners at AWC Inc. in Central Texas, Jessica Gordon, Fred Maynard, Alan Delzell, Brad
Rosenhagen and Bob Wenyon who have supported the current TI505 system in the fermentation cellar for over a decade. | |
