Siemens provides AC drives and automation equipment for open pit mining primary crushers including double roll, gyratory, and cone crushers.

Our plant in Norwood, Ohio produces special MSHA mining certified induction motors for fixed and variable speed applications.

For variable speed applications we typically use IGBT AC drives from our SIMOVERT® Masterdrive product line and compliment the drive with SIMATIC® S7 PLCs, WinCC® graphic operator stations, and interfaces to overall DCS systems for production flow.
